St’uxwtéws Strategic Plan

In the central interior of British Columbia west of Cache Creek on about 1,878 hectares of land reside the Bonaparte First Nation. Their members are called the St in Secwépemctsin, which means “people of St’uxwtéws". They are a member band of the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council of the Secwépemc (Shuswap) people. They are resilient, kind, and proud.

Kukpi7 (Chief) Frank Antoine approached Ferdinand to assist in telling the story of their newly created Strategic Plan. He wanted to tell the story of their efforts to bring the community closer together, to build a prosperous economy and preserve their culture and rights. To capture their story we explored their past where they have come from, their present and where they strive to go.
